Apart from the torrential rain outside and freezing cold inside ,Russell's concert at Glasgow Cathedral was fabulous, he definitely warmed up the atmosphere and rattled the rafters.
His amazing voice soared, singing among others
Va Pensiero,Music of The Night, Bring Him Home, Someone to Remember Me, Abide With Me, Ave Maria, Beautiful Dreamer and it was so great to
hear Caruso and Corengrato again , also (of course)
Flower Of Scotland to the delight of the audience.
He sang The Prayer in a duet with Nancy May who has a beautiful voice.
Russell's unique sense of humour ensured the audience were going home happy.
A wonderful and special night that ended with prolonged rapturous applause ,with everyone in no doubt that they had heard 'TheVoice' at his best.

I can vouch for it being a Fabulous evening,a beautiful old theatre with the best Tenor in the world on stage singing songs like Una Furtiva Lagrima to perfection,just wonderful.
Russell's Phantom medley duet with Laura wright was again spine tingling with all the drama of the theatre.So many people had packed into the Opera House the top gallery had been specially opened up(4th level) as you can see on one of the pictures. Definitely worth the 6 hour train journey to get there and another 6 to come home.

What a start to Russell's concert tour at Crewe ,he was 'off the scale' ,most of his songs were about love as described in the title of the tour and he started off the night with Love Story,there was a good mix of songs,some new some old and some of the regulars .One of the highlights was a spine tingling Music Of The Night duet with his guest Laura Wright,this earned them one of the many standing ovations.Una Furtiva Lagrima was awsome.As always there was lots of fun and laughter ,Russell's humour is infectious. The night was finished off with Someone To Remember Me,again receiving a standing ovation and much applause. What fabulous night.

It was an amazing night of music and laughter at Ulverston, Russell was on top form, his voice soaring to shake the rafters. Among the songs were 'This is The Moment',' Empty Chairs',a sublime 'Bring Him Home','Serenade' which was fabulous, and showing the power in his voice he sang 'Una Furtiva Lagrima' without using the microphone,awesome.
Ulverston was the birthplace of Stan Laurel and Russell had a bit of fun telling everyone how much he admired Laurel & Hardy and proceeded to give his account of one of their sketches and that led to a duet of 'The Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia' with Richard John the pianist, it was hilarious and had the audience in stitches.At the end of the concert there was much stamping of feet and applause ,Russell came back and did a number of encores with the audience giving him a standing ovation...What a night.Russell well and truly deserves his name 'The Voice'.

The concert at Lancaster was wonderful one song after the other showing the power in Russell's voice ,the highlight of the night for me was 'E Lucevan Le Stelle',Russell explained to the audience that it was the first time in 10 years that he felt fit enough vocally and physically to sing it on stage.
'Serenade' which was fabulous came a close 2nd,as always he had a varied repertoire,ranging from 'E Sara Cosi' and 'Intermezzo' to 'When we Were Young' and 'Moon River',he dedicated 'Fix You' to the victims of the Manchester bombing which brought tears to many, there was Nat King Coles 'Nature Boy', and note perfect 'Bring Him Home' and a song which I hadn't heard before 'Here's To Life',it was beautiful.
As always there was the interaction with the audience with 'San Francisco' and 'Volare' .Russell was accompanied on the piano by Richard John.
Russell thoroughly deserved all the applause and standing ovations throughout the night and it seemed that nobody wanted him to stop singing but he eventually finished with 'When We Were Young'. It was an amazing night and a very appreciative audience. Best of all was I had another concert to look forward to the following night at Ulverston.
